Learning to live an intentional, purpose-driven life.
A Midweek Reminder to Love Yourself.

A Midweek Reminder to Love Yourself.

Choose Yourself– Today, Tomorrow, Always.

I decided to give myself the world instead of waiting around for someone else to do it for me. I decided laughing was the best medicine for a bad day, cold weather, or hurting heart. I decided to buy myself flowers frequently because I am very capable of making myself happy on my own. I decided to start living– everyday– instead of putting life and its adventures on pause until the right person walked in to experience them with me.

You are Your Best Investment.

Honestly, I finally grasped the fact that in order to attract the right people, I have to be the best version of myself. That starts with loving who I am– every angle, early morning bed head, and selfie I take. I have come to realize that I am most beautiful when smiling and there is no lack of reasons to smile in this life. I stopped playing small and started embracing that I am a rare, precious jewel in the eyes of Christ.

So are you.

What does it look like to lean fully into your truest self?

Every time you dilute your abilities to fit in or follow suit, you deny yourself the opportunity to see your purpose fully manifest. I implore with you today to breathe in the life around you. It is your one, unique life. You hear it all the time but its words couldn’t ring more true. We have been given this one life; it might consist of 90 years, God willing, or 32. It is not our job to determine its length. Rather, it is our job to live fully into it.

Do meaningful work. Find connection in those around you. Offer encouragement when others are feeling down. Be honest and upfront with your expectations. Give grace when you fall short of them. To follow your purpose– the calling on your life– does not mean doing so flawlessly. It means continuously showing up even after you’ve experienced failures.

Let’s start living into the fullness of what Jesus purchased for us.
